A privately owned company in the western suburbs, they have been providing a full range of transport services to its customers including Freight Forwarder' s and Customs Agents for over 38 years. They have grown their business, based on a range of core values and now require a self driven, business focused Transport Operations Manager to continue to build on their success.
This is a new position reporting to the General Manager which has overall responsibility for transport services and the operational needs of the Transport Division. Operational focus will be directed at achieving a high level of fleet productivity while maintaining excellent customer service.
There is also significant responsibility for the company's transport budget, developing and implementing processes and procedures with a strong emphasis on change management. Workplace planning, environmental initiatives, managing major contracts to ensure continued profitability and expansion are also key areas to be managed.
Motivation with unquestionable ethics and integrity will be required to drive initiatives. A strategic thinker that also demonstrates attention to detail, can deal with major customers face to face, handle pressure and make decisions. You must have transport industry experience and be commercially focused. You will also demonstrate strong operational leadership, problem solving skills and strive for excellence. Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills will ensure effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

Remuneration is at the executive level in line with experience and qualifications.
